To address these challenges, TappingToad developed an innovative remote patient monitoring solution with anonymous data collection & a robust backend infrastructure. The solution was implemented through the following steps:
Development of Mobile Applications
- Created anonymous Apple & Android apps using React Native for both patients & doctors.
- The apps allowed patients to monitor & share their COVID-19 symptoms with doctors securely.
- Included functionality for patients to add & monitor anonymous dependents, ensuring comprehensive family health tracking.
Doctor & Patient Onboarding
- GPs could onboard senior doctors using an invitation code.
- Doctors were able to onboard patients & other colleagues through an invitation code as well, streamlining the onboarding process.
- All users, including doctors & patients, could install the app on multiple devices & connect using a 4-digit temporary code.
Anonymous & Secure Registration
- Minimal registration details (age, gender & invitation code) to maintain user anonymity.
- All interactions & data sharing remained anonymous, confidential, enhancing privacy & security.
Backend Infrastructure
- Robust Backend: Utilized Spring Boot, Kotlin, MySQL on Kubernetes & Google Cloud for secure & scalable backend support.
- Secure Data Storage: Ensured secure storage & management of patient data, maintaining anonymity & privacy.
